Detectives in Kent are hunting an armed gang who posed as police officers to kidnap a security manager and his young family in a £40 million robbery.

Last night, a Securitas depot manager was pulled over by what appeared to be a police car as he left work. As he got into the car he was handcuffed and taken hostage by members of the gang dressed as police officers.

At the same time, his wife and young son were being visited at their home by other members of the gang also posing as police. They too were taken hostage.

This sounds an awful lot like the plot of that new Harrison Ford movie (and about a dozen other movies made in the last few years).
