Elyas Bakhtiari is a writer and editor living in Boston, Massachusetts. He works as a health care journalist by day and blogs about politics, policy, and other deep stuff by night. Before moving to Boston he lived in San Antonio, Texas, where he attended Trinity University and worked briefly for the San Antonio Current covering local and state politics. He grew up in rural Tennessee and also spent quite a bit of time in rural Kentucky and Colorado.
